Ammonia PDF Print E-mail

We produce granular urea and ammonia, both of which are forms of nitrogen fertiliser. Urea in particular is the most popular form of nitrogen fertiliser used in the world today.

Ammonia which is the main constituent of nitrogen fertiliser is produced by combining nitrogen derived from the atmosphere with hydrogen extracted from natural gas when heated to high temperatures. Urea is derived from the reaction of ammonia and carbon dioxide under high pressure and at temperatures of between 132° and 182° C (270° and 360° F).
